The Bully Project Mural

The Bully Project Mural is a digital destination where people can share art, stories, and perspectives about bullying, its impact, and how we — the creative community — can help stop it.

Symbolism

In this project I decided have two hands up in a school environment. The school environment is where the majority of bullying takes place. The two hands have the words "No More Bullying" written on them in red, which is the universal color for "Stop".

I wanted to make the hands seem like those of a dead person or "Zombie like". Kid's that are bullied often have thoughts of suicide and many of them actually do. By having the hands in this fashion, it shows that many kids that are bullied may be alive from the outside but inside they often wish they were dead.

The frame around the piece symbolizes feeling trapped and thinking you have no place to go.
