Professional, multifunctional medical device
Polaris HP is a specialized device meant for high energy laser therapy and biostimulation. We were asked to design the case of the device, so that the LCD touchscreen would be exposed. The case was made mainly using plastic injection technology. The main goal of the project was to underline the modern and medical characteristic of the device. The effect was achieved by creating an organic outline and combining it white with a cold, graphite color. A secondary goal was to emphasize the main functions of the device and make ergonomic use easier.

Interface
As a part of the project we were asked to design a new touch interface that allows an intuitive use of the Polaris HP. By designing it in an universal style we allowed adapting the interface to other devices made by the company.
The simple and intuitive pictograms were divided into 4 groups: main navigation (which can be viewed the entire time during use), additional navigation, applicators, and treatment parameters. The size of the font and colors were chosen accordingly to their function and readability.
