Using the currently released iPhone application as a guide, create a customer-facing Windows Phone application that conforms to the standards and patterns of the platform.
Project
LevelUp had recently released an iPhone application, a free app that enabled users to pay with their phone at thousands of businesses nationwide. Using the current features and functionality as a base, our team, a business analyst, designer (myself), and an engineer, built out a new information archeticture and sitemap that would be familiar to a Windows Phone user. Using some basic sketches, a simple prototype was built to test our initial ideas. With our concept validated by users, the fuill set of wireframes and mockups were created to guide the engineer. The final build was tested with a small group of users before being uploaded to the Windows app store.
Results
The application allowed users of Windows Phones to seamlessly make purchases, and instantly save money, at participating stores throughout the USA. The app has continuously been rated high and today sits at a 4-start rating.
