BRIEFING
The remoteness of a greater part of Angola represents a difficult challenge to overcome for local companies that intend to extend their market inland from the more populated coast line.
At the same time mobile telecommunications have become of extreme importance especially due to the fact that telecommunication lines are almost inexistent. To provide a fast and relatively inexpensive way of reaching these new markets Movicel requested for a prattle store to be devised that could be easily built, transported, installed and re-located.

SOLUTION
A re-cycled shipping container was chosen as being the most efficient way of producing a store that would be cost efficient, easy to transport by not only allowing for its manufacturing anywhere in the world and it’s transport to Angola but also by being robust enough to withstand the ragged roads on which it would have to travel when moved from place to place across the country.
The container would function as a shell into which a relatively sophisticated store would be inserted made up of prefabricated modules with fully integrated functionalities that would ensure, like with a caravan, that the store would operate in total autonomy.
