Sound design for a public light installation "White Noise" by Giny Vos.

The installation "White Noise" by the dutch light artist Giny Vos aims at creating an artificial galaxy in the sky above Amsterdam. The opening ceremony was staged around the birth of a galaxy -- the Big Bang. In order to synthesize the "true" Big Bang I used a very simple physical modelling technique of firing noise pulses through bandpass filters. Choreographing the birth and decay of hundreds of such sound-generating units allowed for a range of very expressive sonic events and soundscapes to be produced in realtime.
