Machohembra - Clothing Brand
Re-Branding
In 2014, Nico Bambchamp decided to focus on his personal fashion label and founded Machohembra, beginning a reputation of his own. With a modern and daring style, the brand aims at the rejection of gender binarism and wants to mark its critical
stance on different social issues through its designs.
For the re-branding in 2017, a blend between femininity and masculinity is required in the brief to communicate inclusive values and smash social conventions. To achieve that purpose and also reflect a combative spirit, I took symbolism from the animal world.
The snake representing a creative life force while the conch shell’s call is meant to awaken one from ignorance, and is a sign of victory over suffering.
