Centre for Women's Development and Research have been motivating and facilitating women domestic workers to come together as a trade union Manushi, which works for the Rights of women domestic workers through advocacy, lobbying and campaign activities. Manushi members have provided leadership in the struggle to achieve adequate recognition for the work of domestic workers. Domestic workers play an important role in an household. Their work space is their employers house, where she faces alot of problems. The worker as an individual cannot raise her voice, as she is at risk of loosing her job. A handout which would voice the status of domestic workers and state their demands as a worker.
Manushi required a handout which would be given during campaigns, or to funding agencies or visitors who come to see the project. A handout for publicity, which talks about Manushi, structure and achievements, and how people can show their support. In this handout I have taken speech bubbles as a concept. I have used it as a graphical element to place the content as the handout is about domestic workers, their problems, and demands.
