Envirocycle Wind Turbine

Envirocycle Wind Turbine
The Envirocycle wind turbine was the product of my under-graduate degree final year project.
I wanted to design something that I thought was worth-while and could potentially help people.

The self imposed specification fo the project was that the turbine must be made from 100% recycled materials and possible to manufacture using only hand tools.
The aim of the project was really to show that renewable energy products don't have to be expensive, high-end machines.

The success of the project meant that I was able to continue developing the turbine to be a more efficient, truly applicable product, which I did, as well as exploring the potential application in developing countries.

The Envirocycle wind turbine won the GM Bedford Memorial award for excellence in product design, and was subject in the news nationally as well as spoken about at the house of commons, by me.
