Mobile interaction design for NordiCHI'14 Conference

This project was done on a course called Interaction Design and Evaluation. Our task was to find out how a conference application can make the visitors' experience at the conference more enjoyable. To achieve this we did interviews, user tests, paper prototypes, and an HTML prototype.
We interviewed novice and experienced conference visitors in order to understand the context and their behavior at a conference. After that we ran eight user tests to evaluate several existing conference applications to see what characterizes a good conference application. Based on what we learned from the user tests, we created two competing paper prototypes for a new conference application, and tested them with six more user tests to validate our findings. Finally we created an HTML prototype to illustrate our solution for a new conference application.
Our project was highly appreciated by the NordiCHI'14 community as they could choose the best application for the conference based on our insights. In addition we delivered valuable findings to the developers of the applications we tested, and they took our findings and suggestions to improve their product. Lastly our prototypes were considered as a great starting point for developing a new application.
