An Energizing Space with Vibrant Hues

Project background: A young couple who previously lived in a two bedroom apartment are looking to renovate a 5 room HDB to accommodate bigger family during covid period.
Project highlight: Cost friendly renovation by revamping bathroom and kitchen floor and wall tiles and necessary built in cabinetry across the space, plus a raised platform at living area.
Construction to delivery time: 2.5 months (During Covid Time)
Beginning of Design Stage
The general mood infusing with a vibrant energy that invigorates the sense of dynamism. From vivid yellows to electric blues, each hue pulsates with its own unique intensity, creating a visual delight.
It's a place where creativity thrives and inspiration blooms, where every glance ignites a spark of enthusiasm that uplifts the spirit and feeling refreshed.
The living area features a soft blue-gray wall that provides a calming backdrop, contrasting pleasantly with the wood tones to create a cohesive design. These elements are combined thoughtfully to create a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, catering to relaxation and practical living.
The console unit offers storage space and acts as a display surface for decorative items to add a personal touch to the space. Above the TV area, custom cabinets provide additional space for storage and display, helping to keep the room organized and clutter-free.
Track lighting installed on the ceiling adds a modern industrial touch and allows for adjustable lighting, which can be directed to specific areas or points of interest in the room. The large window is covered with blinds that have a striped texture, offering both privacy and a unique style element that complements the room's aesthetic.
The kitchen utilizes a rich wood finish for cabinets, which adds warmth and a natural aesthetic. The scheme is neutral, dominated by the wood tones of the cabinets and the white of the appliances, creating an illusion of a larger space.
The kitchen appears to have integrated lighting solutions, possibly under-cabinet lights that provide task lighting on the countertops. This type of lighting is essential in kitchens for functional tasks and also serves to highlight the backsplash and work surfaces.
The kitchen's design minimizes unnecessary movement, making cooking and cleaning more efficient. The proximity of the sink to the stove and refrigerator supports a smooth workflow in meal preparation. The placement of the microwave at a mid-height level and the countertops at comfortable heights suggests consideration for ergonomics, reducing strain during use.
