Spiral Storage Tray Design
The initial motivation for this design stemmed from a practical need to organize everyday items. I often found myself leaving change scattered on the surface of my entryway shoe cabinet, using it for cash-on-delivery shipping fees and various outdoor supplies.
To address this, I crafted a storage tray specifically designed for entryways. This tray is ideal for placing change, jewelry, or keys. Its most unique feature is a hidden spiral compartment, perfect for concealing an excess of small items when needed.

Building on this practical and aesthetically pleasing solution, I developed a wooden version of the tray. This iteration comprises a small round disk and two semicircular pieces of wood.
The strategic placement and design of the small disk ensure that the wooden pieces align precisely, forming a seamless, continuous spiral surface. This not only enhances the tray's functionality but also its visual appeal, blending form with function in everyday use.
