Being our final project in Graphic Processes, we were tasked with creating a series of seven spreads to communicate the seven sins/virtues. I feel like the project parameters gave me just enough guidance to be able to apply my own style and design language. I really enjoyed the concept of the seven sins and was able to derive spread from my own personal truths and feelings. This became a deeply personal project, in which I used the guidelines to expand my responses to each sin.

the guidelines for each spread as follows:

Lust- Arranged Collage

Gluttony- Typographic Collage

Greed- Personal Photo Incorporating a Model

Sloth- Personal Duotone Images Incorporating a Model

Wrath- Found Photograph Incorporating Type

Envy- Found Photograph

Pride- Personal Photograph

Pictured above is my response and rationale for the sin lust. For this image I created a handmade analog collage with multiple fine art-derived images to create this motif of lust. This is my most elaborate image of them all, and was my personal favorite spread of them all.
Pictured above is my image and spread for envy. I feel like this image is very emotionally powerful in its appearance, and perfectly captures the angst and feelings of envy. despite being simpler to put together than the majority of the other spreads, its simple but powerful appearance makes it my second favorite
Straying from the dismal outlook at the end of the booklet, my response to the "sin" of pride was to encapsulate the double meaning of pride as both a sin and a virtue simultaneously .
