STRUT Thanksgiving-themed 5K and Fun Run Event Poster
These concepts (poster and social media) were developed using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. The idea was to create event collateral that was both fun and eye-catching, while still effectively communicating pertinent information about a planned community event. A bold, yet whimsical typeface was chosen for the title of the event. The event was originally named “The Turkey Strut,” but by simplifying the name to “Strut.,” it allowed for greater impact in the size of the typeface while also appearing more modern. The background cityscape image has been distorted from a true rectangle to something more of a trapezoid, to add subtle whimsy. The color black was also used as a background to the pertinent event details tagged in white to give contrast not only to the text, but also to the vector images that use largely light to mid-tone hues
