This poster was for our class milestone project. The task was to create an 11x17 size poster for an event as well as three 3x3 images for a series intended for social media posts. The content of this assignment was only limited to imagination and the only parameter was for the social media posts to give the same information as the poster would. I decided to make a poster for a gaming event at a local clubhouse. I chose the graphic to be a desk featuring a computer desktop setup with a screen displaying "game over" to illustrate this was a gaming event. I set the date on April 27th at 8 pm because as of this year that day falls on a Saturday which helps the authenticity of this poster as most people would only go to a video game event on a weekend. The orange brick wall background was created to mimic old video game posters I used to own myself and helps give off a "gaming energy" which matches the vibe and tone of the event. The fonts were also chosen for this exact purpose and help illustrate an arcade look to the poster for the event.

For these social media posts, I kept the same theme as the poster with font usage and the same background and border. I used a controller and CD graphic to help illustrate the gaming side of the event. To help exemplify the socialness of the event I made a graphic with two players gaming to make it feel more inviting.
