What to cook & what to wear?

This poster series, inspired by Doctor Oetker ads, honors the important women from the 1950s. These women, often forgotten, were key contributors to science while also being housewives.

Behind closed doors, these seemingly "dumb and devoted" housewives were making groundbreaking discoveries and significant advancements in various scientific fields. They were not just responsible for managing households, they were also influencing the most critical factors of scientific progress - while being told their only purpose in life would be to think about what to cook and what to wear.

These posters celebrate these women, reminding everyone of their important, yet often undervalued, contributions to science, and their strength, smarts, and willpower.
The project's technique involved a multi-step process to achieve its final form. Beginning with an initial sketch crafted in Procreate, the focus then shifted to Illustrator. Here, the challenge lay in capturing soft, organic features through vector drawings. To add depth and dimension, the design was further refined in Photoshop, where texture was meticulously applied. Finally, the project found its completion in InDesign, where it was meticulously prepared for printing, ensuring that every detail translated seamlessly from screen to print.
