YUMI BBANG

We were tasked in developing a brand visual identity as well as a cumulative pocket restaurant guide for the Urbana-Champaign area with brands that my classmates had designed. The final deliverable included a style sheet, digital interface design mockup, final printed booklet, and menu publication design. 

Yumi bbang is a play of words on "yummy" and "bbang" meaning bread (빵) in Korean. 
The inception of this brand was realized when there was a gap in the market of other dessert options on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus where we had an abundance of boba shops but no other desserts. This shop concept would also address the growing number of asian students on campus plus the ongoing popularity of Korean related sweets. 

Yumi Bbang is a bbungeobbang or "fish bread" cafe that makes a mix of savory sandwiches as well as custom sweet ice cream combos and bread. This fish concept would guide the ideation of the rest of the brand with a heavy fish theme within the word mark and continuing brand identity.
