ITALIA IN MINIATURA
The main purpose of my thesis is to investigate about the various problems of orientation, which are typical for the theme park called “Italia in miniatura”, located near Viserba in province of Rimini, Emilia Romagna. The aim of this work is to offer a project of “way finding” which systematically takes into consideration the importance of information. In order to create a “way finding system” it is essential to have order, uniformity and functionality all together. Starting from this introduction, I have analyzed the semantic aspect of the context. I realized that the miniature form is the principal element on which the theme of “Italia in miniatura” is based.In order to have a complete view of way finding it was necessary for me to think about a different typology of information which prevails inside the park. Therefore it has been possible to find a logical systematic structure of the contents, processes and the entire functionality system. Across the playful and the didactic aspect of this park, it has been possible to trace the main features and the important elements which have taken me to the art design of a logo, an educational guide and finally a way finding system with its related projects of pictograms, maps and signals signs.
