Utrecht University Botanic Gardens organize family activities in which kids will learn all about the worlds of butterflies and moths, pollination, how seeds are dispersed, and the evolution of plants. I was asked to create the visuals for their campaign, both for the programme as a whole as for the activities.
Working closely with the team at the Botanical Gardens I made these illustrations in a playful cut-out inspired style, showing nature as inviting and worth exploring. Starting with pencil sketches, I then turned this into a rough first digital illustration after which I added textures and shade to breath life into it.
