Twitch x Sundy

Twitch is an interactive live streaming service for content. The platform is best known for video games content, but you can also find cooking, singing, art, sport etc.

I was commissioned by a streamer, Sundy, who offers video game content, to create emotes and animations for her channel. Her graphic universe is mostly inspired by witches and magical creatures. 

Animations can be used in different ways on Twitch : on overlays or in chat. These ones were used on the streamer's overlay, at the beginning or the end of the stream.

On Twitch, emotes are used to represent different things. It can show : subscribed people, people who gifted money (bits), people who gifted sub to others etc. 

For this streamer I had to design the sub (suns) and bits badges (will-o'-the-wisp).

The idea for suns badges was to create evolutives sub badges : from 1 month sub to 3 years sub for example. 

For bits badges, the streamer's will was just to create something related to fantasy universe. So we choose will of the wisp because they can represent spirit creatures that are full of magic. 

All badges can be showed in the stream chat. When you write something in the chat, your username appears and the badges you earned are positionned just before it. 

Here you can see that the first person only unlocked the sub badge, and the second one unlocked both of them. Emotes can also be used in the chat, as classic emotes.
