Illustration made for CMR university's 2023 calendar in collaboration with Studio Sky Design
The theme for the calendar was CMR's vision- 'To nurture creative thinkers who will drive positive global change.''
The artwork was to have an optimistic, vibrant and promising look and feel avoiding any kind of negative or dark imagery.
The way I interpreted the vision was to highlight how important it is to encourage children to break out of the moulds of the past and carve their own path, as unfamiliar as it may seem to the previous generations.. because only then will they grow individually and together to make an impact.
When we think of global change, it may seem like a daunting task, but ultimately it boils down to how each individual is taught, nurtured and empowered throughout their lives. The new generation of children bring the hope of positive, sustainable changes and it is upto us as teachers, parents, mentors and members of the society to recognise and celebrate their individuality and talent.
