When creating the Iron Giant, I wasn't sure if I wanted to make him more like the cartoon or a more realistic looking model. I figured it was better it I stuck to a cartoony feel. Simple colors were used gray and darked gray were the two main colors I used. When Modelling I didn't have to change the shapes all that much seeing that he's made out of the base shapes. I applied all objects to the respective bones and tested it out. I might come back some time to see how a realistic look could work.
