A conceptual piece designed around a emulating a box of protein pancake mix and the brand that creates it.
The aim for the piece was to create something bold, emphasizing the prominent imagery often associated with protein and protein-high foods and products, while still having an appeal broad enough to still be enticing to customers that aren’t drawn to that particular part of it.
Warm colors, such as oranges and browns, were chosen to be the focus for the packaging’s palette to give it a bold feel while adhering to the colors of pancakes and syrup. Sharp fonts and angles were chosen to give a bold feel to the packaging, appealing to a more health focused audience that would be in the market for protein-centric pancake mix. A rounder feel was given to the logo of the main brand, Chef Torte’s, to give it a broader appeal, so that it could potentially be used on different products without committing too hard to one style for the brand itself. Simple illustrations were created to give visuals to the instructions on the backside of the box while not distracting from the style of the text itself.
Royalty free photos were chosen, given small levels and saturation adjustments to help emphasize their appealing features and add to the vibrance of the packaging.
