Paired with a map and labeling system, this mobile application would help pedestrians navigate the historic and vast botanical garden that is the Court. The app can sort data by number, county, common plant name, Latin name, region and photo.
I drew this map based on a satellite view of the Court. Folded, the map doubles as an informational brochure and would be available for visitors in several weatherproof boxes at main entryways to the courtyard as well as inside the buildings surrounding the Court.
Acting as both a wayfinding system and a means of getting information, these labels convey region, number on the map or mobile application, common name and Latin name for each piece of vegetation.
