Digital Creation Works

Some work from the course  Digital Creation, from the second semester of 2014. The course focuses on 3D modelling and printing, giving a good foundation to what I have already learnt.

Project 1: Exposing Genetics
This project involved exploring the material qualities and organic/digital qualities a 3D UP printer can create, by printing a "seed" modeled on Solidworks.
Project 2: Object Creation
For this project we designed 3D printed flutes on Solidworks. My flute was inspired by sea shells and the movement of water and air. It contained an interior print that would move when the flute was played.
Project 3: Grow
We used multi-material Objet Conex printers for our final project. I took inspiration from my previous project, drawing on the patterns, textures and forms of shells. The hard outer form of the print contained a softer rubber interior, similar to a shellfish.
