This video project was initially part of a broader class interactive video exercise and was aimed to show to potential target clients what SinBlink (a young small company that some classmates had just started) were capable of doing, but ended up being a video spot to promote CITM the school we were studying our Multimedia degree. The main idea was to use the Time Freeze technique, which simulates a world that has literally stoped moving, as if it was completely frozen.
As you can see, we had fun trying to freeze not only the actors, who were actually acting, trying the best they could not to move an inch, but also tracking digitally the camera (A Red One, indeed) movement to be able to introduce some 3D objects and fluids in post production to make it look more spectacular.
This is a brief example of the transitions we applied between the different scenarios. We tried to simulate the inner layers of the doors the camera seems to be going through. What they actually are is just some high definition pictures layered and scaled in relation with the camera movement. As you can see we also applied some particles and extra motion blur and sunlight glow effects to make the transitions more interesting.
Hope you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
