Campaign against texting and driving.

There have been hundreds of people who have been killed and injured due to people who text and drive. Thus I create a poster, brochure, and flyers for the campaign against texting and driving. This was one of my college assignments. We were asked to make it bi-lingual thus i used Hindi as the other language as that's the only other language I can read and write after English.

Below is the poster I created for this cause. In this poster I am showing a road that directly leads into a gravestone in a graveyard. This is to portray that if you text while driving, you are as good as on your way to death.

On the gravestone, as you can see i have written 'welcome lol'. 'Welcome' is to portray that death is inviting you if you text and drive, as you do not have your full attention on the road. The 'lol' just signifies texting and just more of a sarcastic and dark humor way to send the message across.

The process of creating this poster is shown below:

For the main gravestone, I first created a simple outline of it on illustrator.

After creating the outline, I clicked a photo of the cement floor in my backyard (pic shown below) and later created a clipping mask of that on illustrator, onto the above outline.

Later I opened the illustrator file on Photoshop and added more contrast and other effects onto it as seen below.

Then I used a picture of the sky that I had clicked on a rainy day and darkened it up on photoshop until i got the desired result, and then placed it in my work.

The same process was used for the floor where I had clicked the picture of an open empty ground closebby and then Photoshoped it adding some grass etc. and used that in my work.

The road in my work was done using clipping mask for the texture and the rest of the lines etc were drawn on Illustrator.
