YUTUPIS
Documentary film from Peruvian director Luis Pizarro.
An abstract film that recreates the director's internal journay of his roots on a ritual with a chaman.
For the sound to reinforce this feeling we put the spectator in the directors position, where he is phisically in one place but in his mind is traveling to different places and moments. So we played with the sound doing long mixing between scenes, turning the diegetic sound off and on, changing from a strong surrounding enviroment (5.1) to a lighter or even stereo enviroment. Subconciousnly making you feel imerse by times and other times feeling as an spectator.

We used the sound to generate, thru ambiences and specific sounds with unusual and exagerated behaviour, the mystical and surreal feel of a place where two parallele or possible stories are told. At the same time we used them to evoke the feelings of the moment.
