MABELE MADE.
AmaNdebele are a tribe or one of the tribes of the Nguni people of Southern Africa. World famous for their unique cultural clothing and geometric wall art's aesthetic. Ndebele women adorn themselves with ornaments of symbolic meaning in their social status. The dresses become more elaborate and spectacular after marriage. They wear copper and brass rings called 'idzila' around their necks. The number of the rings symbolize the wealth and social status of the wearer or her husband. The rings also symbolized a woman's faithfulness to her husband and were thought to have strong ritual powers. Ingubo (marriage blanket) worn by women is decorated with beads to record significant events throughout her lifetime. Married woman wear some form of head covering gear, ranging from a simple beaded headband, a knitted cap to elaborately designed beaded headgear

This is an illustration to celebrate the beauty and cultural aesthetic of this people.
