This summer I had an awesome opportunity to work with the XD team at Adobe on several Pro Bono projects as an experience design intern. XD Pro Bono projects provide XD with opportunities to engage in new design challenges while contributing to XD and Adobe community. One of the projects I have worked on is for Open Books – to design book covers for teen writers. “Open Books is a nonprofit social venture that provides literacy experiences for thousands of readers each year through inspiring programs and creative capitalization of books.” There are total 19 students’ cover designed by 18 different XD designers. I worked directly and closely with one of the young writers, Lucy Neumann, to create a publishable science fiction novel.
The story is about a girl traveled to a parallel universe through an old pendant that she found in her father’s inventory. The other world is very similar to the earth except there is no human, the whole world is dominated by animals and full of forests and greens.
