For our first project in Object Based Experiments, we were given a series of scenarios to design a pen for. I chose to design my pen for the signing controversial decision banning the rap group Odd Future from New Zealand.

 

Held as you would hold a key in self defence, the pen's form describes the smooth appearance of femininity, encasing a raw and heavy core of rusted steel.

The tip is sharp and could do damage to anyone threatening assault, transforming a defensive action into something that is on the offense - mirroring the actions of those who signed the ban.
