Team Reveals 15th Team Project 'The Wounded Inner Child'

Every now and then I like to invite a Team Member to guest host a Team Project.
This time Ewi (Nulleya h) kindly agreed to set the theme of our 15th Team Project.
Thank you Ewi.

I invite you all to try to visualize our wounded inner children. As artists, we have an easier insight into our wounds thanks to our great sensitivity and deeper feeling of the world. Thanks to this, we can carry the messages of our souls to others. This allows others to come closer to finding their wounds. I would like us to get in touch with our five main wounds: abandonment, rejection, humiliation, betrayal and injustice. "The Wounded Inner Child" is a project that may concern one wound or many. I want us to tenderly touch our pain and share it in our favourite artistic form.
Ewi.

The artists who participated in this project are from... UK, USA, Spain, Russian Federation, Germany, Ukraine, Japan, Hungary, Georgia, Romania, Italy, Portugal
and Poland.
Thank you all for supporting this Project!

Title : Where am I?

And suddenly I found you, you had always been there. Me lost in life and you lost in the forest.
That's when I realized that we were never lost.
I didn't know what to do, I was afraid to choose a path. I was afraid to come out of nowhere, where I comfortably felt abandoned.
You showed me that together we could create our own reality.
You told me that the emptiness was actually infinite possibilities.
I apologize for not listening to you while my mind dominated me.
Now I feel connected to you and I know that what is true is nothing more than what we choose to see.
That if creativity is connected to the heart it is real.
That we are all mirrors.
That beyond the mind, a glimmer of light in the forest is blurred.
And that with the colors of our palette we can create a different world.
I thank you for appearing again, because we are going to color and play together this
wonderful game, which is what life wants.
Thanks to all those who have helped me to recognize myself and to find my lost place in the
forest.

Title : Wounded Inner Child

No matter how painful it may be, at any time during our life on earth, we can reach deep within ourselves beyond the many pains and discover our inner child, who is always hidden within us, who despite wounds, abandonment, rejection, humiliation, betrayal and injustice, is still the most honest and clean and it's always waiting for us there, waiting for us to make contact with it once, who despite everything, it still emits a spark. There is a whole world hidden within that we don't even know yet.

Title : Wendy Drowned by Mermaids

Wendy drowned by mermaids is inspired by a scene from the 1953's movie "Peter Pan".
This  work, which offers a different direction from the original scene, becomes a poignant reminder that no place, not even the most enchanting or magical, is immune to the complexities of human relationships and societal struggles.
Wendy drowned by mermaids encourages viewers to reflect on the broader implications of exclusion, the consequences of passive bystanders, and the innate sense of solitude that accompanies the human experience since childhood, even in the most fantastical settings.
But not all children have the luxury to stay innocent to enjoy those imaginary and magical worlds long enough...

"Children teach us to enjoy even the smallest things, sometimes even frivolous little things.
I would like adults to also retain this childlike quality in themselves for a long time"

Title : The Wounded Inner Child

"The light is always within you." The light is always within you. (digital art. work done using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) When I’m having a hard time, I imagine that the sun is inside me. Perhaps it is sleeping and not so bright. I focus on this light in deep meditation and it heals my wounds. The sun wakes up and its rays warm me. Perhaps this visual meditation will help you tune in and harmonize your inner world. You should always remember that the light is always within you and it will heal all your wounds and pain. I use my heroine, who I often draw, as “my inner child.”

Title : Voyage 1 - The Cure

"Each year, millions of children are investigated by Child Protective Services for child abuse and neglect. In 2014, over 3,2 million children were subject to child maltreatment reports, of those 20% were found to have evidence of maltreatment.
With 4 million child maltreatment referral reports received in 2021, the world confronts today with this old issue, having to deal with child abuse reports involving 7.2 million children and an increasing rate of child abandonment in the world. There are about 140 million orphans worldwide and five children die every day from child abuse or child neglect. Physical abuse and sexual or verbal abuse show on their victims in various traumatic experiences that deform the character and reality in their victims’ heads reflecting in their behaviours as adults."

Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Fujifilm camera, Vectornator, iMovie, Brushes and Acrylic paints on wood
