Whenever I make something, an artwork of whatever medium, I always listen to music to help my mind in the simultaneous paradox of focusing on a theme and wandering through a maze of ideas. When I made this Cloud Strife clay figure (Final Fantasy VII Advent Children), I was listening to Shiro Hamaguchi's piano version of the FFVII Main Theme--a song which I believe encompasses and reflects the very soul of the game's story more than that of any other FF games I've played. It's a sad and melancholic song that traps its listener in the beautifully tragic despair that is Final Fantasy VII.
To share the ironic bliss I've found in Midgar's melancholia, here's a link to the soundtrack.
