This invite is a mockup done for an assignment articulating the design principle of proximity and alignment.
It challenged me to create an aesthetic design utilizing only two typefaces and no imagery. Graduation announcements can be rather straightforward, and I desired to create one that is casual with a taste of classy. Utilizing flush right kept the project harmonious. The serif text contrasts with the script to draw attention to the announcement title. The use of bold font creates a visual hierarchy of the information. While simple, I feel that the piece carries a cleanness about it and utilizes white space to its advantage.
