Project Overview: The project involved creating the cover and layout for the Canadian Nurses Association's (CNA) Annual Report 2021. The main objectives were to effectively organize and present comprehensive information about CNA's activities throughout the year, including policy and advocacy campaigns, statistics regarding the Canadian Academy of Nursing, publication communications, news releases, the Canadian Nurse journal, press release statements and frameworks, and information about the CNA accreditation and certification program. Additionally, the report needed to include a statement of revenue and expenses.

Challenges: The challenges included the vast amount of information that needed to be organized cohesively within the report while ensuring clarity and readability.

My Role: I was responsible for the design and layout of the annual report, including the cover design. This encompassed conceptualizing the visual theme, selecting appropriate imagery, typography, and color schemes, as well as arranging the content in a logical and visually appealing manner.

Creative Process: I began by focusing on creating a professional and visually engaging cover image that symbolized the significance of the nursing profession in the year 2021. The designs were iterated through feedback rounds with stakeholders until the final concept was approved. For the interior layout, I employed a previous format and refined it  further to make a clean and structured design approach to ensure ease of navigation and comprehension for the readers.

Strategies Used: To ensure the success of the project, I utilized branding strategies aligned with CNA's visual identity to maintain consistency and reinforce brand recognition.

Measurable Results: The annual report received positive feedback from stakeholders and members of the Canadian Nurses Association for its clear presentation of information and visually appealing design.
