Unusual ways of Graphic Images

A classroom course - Drawing and Visualization, at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad under the guidance of Jagadish Kumar. 
It's really tricky trying to show movement, volume, and depth in art. But it's amazing how just using lines can do all three.

Are miniature paintings solely intended to inspire awe and offer a nostalgic glimpse into history? Can we not also harness the unique perspectives depicted in ancient scroll paintings? Indeed, we can. By revisiting representation techniques from bygone eras while ensuring that the scenes depicted remain pertinent to contemporary life. I have depicted the Mumbai chawl(1980s) areas where children are engrossed in a game of cricket on the streets. As the ball strays into someone's house, the children earnestly request its return from one end of the wall, while at the other end, a benevolent uncle returns the ball.

It's an exploration of how even the simplest methods can convey complex actions. This technique focuses solely on actions, giving them the proper emphasis they deserve. Regarding the colors in the background, how expressive do you find them!

Method - Paper collage

Striking the balance between logic and visual appeal, yet exploring objects in unusual sizes adds an intriguing twist. Consider how effectively this technique can convey messages!
