It is on rare occasions that you can see green trees combined with snow in the mountains. This photo was taken just after snowfall late in the Spring. This is a true sign of Spring with a blue lake, green deciduous trees and snow capped mountains. Of note here is also what appears to be a twin peak, however it is 2 mountains, Mount Meeker at more than 13,916 feet and a little more than a half mile to the northwest Longs Peak at 14,259 feet. These peaks are like a watch tower and can be seen from many locations up and down Colorado's Front Range.
