Traces of Introspection | Conceptual Catalog Book

AT TIMES CYNICAL, sentimental and introspective, the mind often engages with restlessness, surreal visions and exaggerated characters who act out of a range of emotions. Similar to the dreamlike atmospheres they inhabit, the fragmented forms seem cloaked in a haze of memory, only partially coming into focus.
While travelling through the boundaries of the past and present , one often pauses in order to re-stage a
familiar scene, disappearing from the frame as quickly as they enter. These interruptions are layered and mixed with personal reference, they bring back a familiarity that adds complexity to its understanding.
"Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in" —Leonard Cohen
TRACES OF INTROSPECTION, is a series of narrative impressions that express the pieces of the mind in
the form of conscious and unconscious layers. The compositions are developed through a process of layering and erasure, representing the depths of emotionally charged traces, while their previous states remain visible.
It is a process of amalgamation of contrasts through layers, old and new, traditional and contemporary, past and present, reality and imagination, varying perspectives and memories, seamlessly shifting through different mediums. Characters and symbols recur in patterns of a calming order. These fragments piece together to reveal stages of transition, unfolding the entire identity.
