Being tasked with creating the cover illustration for such an important issue of LICEULICE (Serbian non-profit organization, magazine) was an honor unlike any other.
The resulting illustration is meant to reflect the horrifying reality of the kind of violence we have witnessed recently for the very first time in Serbia, as well as other forms of violence many people live through every day. On 3 May 2023, a school shooting occurred at Vladislav Ribnikar Model Elementary School in the Vračar municipality of Belgrade, Serbia.

When I came to the idea that became the cover of june's month issue of Liceulice, I knew that I'd want to do a short animated sequence based on it.
Wanted to infuse the animation with hope, the same hope I got from people's unified response to the recent tragedies in Serbia.
