Colors have a presence in our life. They have different meanings and emotional impacts too upon us. Here I'm introducing the color black to help the audience to recognize the deeper meaning of it. The presented book pages are designed calligraphically. This project is an approach of giving a visual form to the Marathi abangas. It aims towards combining the abangas and songs that include the presence of black color in them. Here I have introduced the color black in a positive way. In Hindu culture, the black color is considered to be a sign of negativity so, to twist this thought the approach of the project is to find beauty in black through calligraphy. Each layout enhances the underlined meaning of the abangas aesthetically. Its an experimental approach of exploring calligraphy through ink, texture, and forms.
