Project 2: All About Nouns
For Project 2, We were tasked with creating a cohesive booklet of images surround a random noun given to us in class. The noun given to me was "Foot." We were supposed to laterally expand on the noun, creating a compelling composition of images pertaining to the noun itself. The deliverable was this 16 page booklet with infold.
The final product was a 16 page booklet of monotone images pertaining to our noun, printed onto different colored paper to add another color aspect to the project. we had relatively strict outlines regarding the images and their color, only being able to use free use images found online, as well as only having 4 swatches to choose from for the monotone color,
To brainstorm, we were tasked with creating a mind map surrounding our noun, with my hectic mind map, i explored things that interacted with our feet, like a car, or shoe, and then extending it out to alternate meanings of the word, as in the measurement for example.
Most of the project was done in Adobe Indesign and Photoshop, where we edited our images into duotones, as well as ordered our pages correctly to align when we bound them together in the flip book, and added color matched page numbers.
