During my internship with the Lasell University Athletics department, one of my primary roles was designing captivating graphics to promote the women's lacrosse team across social media platforms. I utilized graphic design software to craft visually striking content that showcased the spirit and accomplishments of the lacrosse program.
My work was instrumental in elevating the online presence and engagement for the women's lacrosse team. I collaborated closely with the coaching staff, athletic communications team, and student-athletes to develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy. This involved creating branded templates, player spotlights, game previews, recaps, and other engaging visuals.
A key aspect of my responsibilities revolved around understanding the team's brand identity and seamlessly incorporating their colors, logos, and overall aesthetic into the graphics. I had to find the right balance between maintaining a consistent visual style while keeping the content fresh and dynamic to captivate the audience.
Additionally, I stayed updated on the team's performances, upcoming events, and milestones to produce timely and relevant graphics. This required close coordination with the coaching staff and athletic communications team to gather the necessary information and statistics.
Beyond design, I was responsible for scheduling and strategically publishing the graphics across various social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. My goal was to maximize visibility, engagement, and ultimately, support for the women's lacrosse program.
Through this internship, I gained invaluable hands-on experience in sports marketing, graphic design, social media management, and strategic communications within the context of a collegiate athletic program.
