Black History Month Design
I created this design for McCluer High School. I used Adobe Illustrator to create this design. The process of my design was very fun to achieve. My color scheme was the African American Flag Colors. I took inspiration of the BLM (Black Lives Matter) Fist and the state of Africa outline and made it useful in my design. I also used very inspirational Black History Month (BHM) quotes that are often seen and used them on BHM Designs.
I really enjoyed creating more of my pattern techniques to my design because it gives more originality to my design. Lastly, the typeface I used was Katari (Black) and that is because this typeface because it visually expressed strength to me due to how straight the lines and angles were.
Overall, I felt very honored that I was able to portray the wants and needs that the Administrative staff asked for. I was also honored to create this design because it was for a fundraiser at their school. Nevertheless, I hope the students and staff enjoy the shirts and have a very successful fundraiser.
