Investigation and conceptualisation
To create and curate a design concept for an exhibition at the theme, “Time, Space, Compression.” This project was created by 4 people over the course of one week. It is purely fictional.
The general topic of time was chosen as an inspiration to look at how we use time. How time can affect our lives, our decisions or affect the way we feel.
Understanding The Topic
The world we facing now so fast that sometimes we neglect the importance in life. The moment we are out of the womb, we are back in the fast moving world.
Back to human nature where life begin and not influence by technology. A time and place where human goes back to their orginal form to experience the slow pace enviroment.
Creative Installation
36 weeks is an installation that takes you back to where your first journey began.
The art installation, 36 Weeks, allows you to experience your first journey all over again. Fragmented and pulled back from the fast paced technological world, 36 weeks transports you into time space compression, away from modernism and to a space of purity, untouched by technology, the human womb.
Be prepared to be pulled away from the current fabric of reality and enter into an unexpected space. A space only you can experience alone. A space away from technology. We may not remember it but every human being has experienced the same journey. A journey that is our very existence.
*Time–space compression, first articulated in 1989 by geographer David Harvey in The Condition of Postmodernity.
