Filters Before & After Project
The objective of this assignment was to experiment with the Filter gallery, ruler guides, Rectangular Marquee selection tool, and Text tool.

Step 1: The image was brought into Photoshop and scaled down using the Free Transform tool. Rulers were turned on and guides brought down and across every 2 inches to create a 4x6 grid across the image.
Step 2: Using the Rectangular Marquee tool, one square of the image was selected, and a filter was added to it. With the Text tool, the section was labeled according to which filter was applied.

Step 3: This was repeated over all the sections, each with a different filter applied and labeled to it.
Key Objectives and Photoshop Features
1. Create a new canvas in Photoshop
2. Turn "Rulers" on
3. Acquire images free of copyright restriction
4. Add image to the new canvas as "pixels" 
5. Scale images in proportion
6. Create a grid of ruler guides, every 2 inches 
7. Create a label 
8. Duplicate the label using option + drag or copy/paste
9. Use your "rectangle marquee tool" 
10. Apply a filter
11. Save in appropriate file format and use the assignment file name structure
12. Write a valid copyright statement
13. Submit files to Canvas
