40th Chicago Latino Film Festival

Concept Poster
40th Chicago Latino Film Festival
2024

The Chicago Latino Film Festival in this year celebrates its 40th! For four decades, the Festival has introduced to Chicago audiences the most representative and diverse selection of films from throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal and the United States. The Chicago Latino Film Festival
is the oldest festival of its kind in the United States.

The visual solution of the poster is based on the “Lighthouse” metaphor and occupies
a central location in the format. The semantic image of a lighthouse carries various meanings
and can be interpreted in different ways: it can be enlightenment and awareness, service and help,
trust and faith, guidance and direction, the personification of loneliness and opposition
to the world around us, and much more. In the poster, the image of a lighthouse to underlined
by the bright glow of a beam of light that pierces the format across its entire width.
The light of the lighthouse acts as a bridge, illuminating, pointing to the right path.
