THE PROJECT
New Jeans PPG, the short animation, was originally made
by Claudia at Nanyang Polytechnic at 2023,
inspired by the collab of New Jeans PPG and Power Puff Girls.
It consists of a simple 2D animation that shows
characters of new jeans flying in the background.
New Jeans is a South Korean girl group formed by ADOR.
The group is composed of five members: Minji, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
The name "New jeans" has a double meaning.
Firstly, jeans are a piece of garment known for their timelessness.
Each generation has its emblematic new style of jeans.
This group follows the same ambition to become a representative
figure of this generation’s pop culture.
I loved NewJeans and Powerpuff Girls when I saw the collab, I was thrilled and inspired to recreate the MV by creating my own art style.

I'm thrilled to share that I've completed an animated project inspired by my love for animation and art. I poured my passion and dedication into each hand-drawn character and meticulously crafted scene. While I had to condense the animation to meet the timeframe, every creative choice was made with care to ensure the final material captured the essence of the original vision.
"New Jeans Saves the Day" is a vibrant animation project inspired by the collaboration of the K-pop group "New Jeans" and the power puff Girls. The meticulous planning involved selecting five characters from New Jeans and syncing their movements to the group's song. Carefully chosen sound effects enhance each scene, emphasizing the importance of auditory elements in storytelling. Scenes unfold dynamically, from Danielle's bedroom walk with subtle footsteps to a dramatic emergency call with alarming sounds. The animation showcases flying sequences, cityscapes reminiscent of Power puff Girls, and a confrontation with an angry enemy named Bunny. Exciting battles feature laser sound effects and impactful punches, emphasizing exaggerated movements. The project is a fusion of creativity, music, and visual effects, promising an engaging 15-30 seconds of "New Jeans Saves the Day."
