Design Thinking Reloaded - Master Thesis
My master's thesis represents an innovative attempt to bridge the gap between neuroscience and design thinking, offering design thinking coaches valuable tools to understand and engage with participants at a deeper level. By incorporating specific neuroscience insights, coaches can tailor their approaches to better resonate with the cognitive processes involved in creativity.
The research aims to provide practical guidelines for design thinking facilitators on when and how to deploy various design interventions, such as icebreakers, exercises, and meditations, to maximize participants’ creative potential during training sessions. Using Adobe InDesign I turned my concept into a finished book. I experimented with text layering, hierarchy, and color coding to make the book easier to read and visually appealing.
Design Thinking meets Neuroscience - Card Deck
I strategically developed a card deck for design thinking experts, that can be used during training sessions, to foster a favorable environment for idea generation, problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I applied my skills in creating layouts and illustrations, carefully selecting a color palette related to neuroscience, choosing eye-catching and playful typography, optimizing size and line spacing for text readability, and ensuring the production of print-ready files. I maintained design consistency, prioritized usability by incorporating icons associated with each card, and provided concise information about the exercises.
