Plus qu'un simple carnet de voyage, le New York Trip Diary est proposé avec deux dépliants A2 illustrant un parcours photographique insolite à travers Manhattan et Brooklyn, dont le QR code dirige l'utilisateur vers un blog de Gifs animés complétant la ballade urbaine. Quant à la carte postale glissée à l'intérieur, elle permet l'accès au portrait vidéo présentant un artiste et son carnet, en l’occurrence Boby Friez.
Le Trip Diary en lui-même permet une personnalisation complète tout en étant suffisamment hiérarchisé. Le voyageur peut donc y inscrire à l'avance les adresses à visiter par bourough et par quartier, puis y raconter son voyage chaque jour dans la partie carnet de bord et venir y collecter des objets trouvés. Une fois rempli, le Trip Diary devient un véritable livre-objet souvenir, témoin d'une expérience inoubliable.

New York Trip Diary is part journal for travellers to record their experience while it is also designed to inspire the traveller to think creatively and see the city through an artistic lens. I created QR codes that the traveller can scan at the back of a number of posters that are included with the guide. The QR codes take them to a Tumblr that showcases a number of my own portrayals of NY through the use of GIFS and photographs. As well as this, I directed a 5-minute length video-portrait of my friend and aspiring artist Boby Friez reachable through another QR code on a postcard that is slipped into the journal.
