Space & Experience redesign

EL FIN undertook an ambitious project to transform the interior and enhance the dining experience of 2Fifty BBQ, a beloved eatery in Washington DC. Our goal was to create a space that not only reflects the soul of barbecue but also elevates the customer journey through thoughtful design and branding.

Duration of the project: 6 months

Inspiration
We wanted to create a cozy and intimate setting that incorporates design elements like exposed brick walls, reclaimed wood features, and vintage decor. These elements add character and create an inviting atmosphere that reflects the authenticity and tradition.

One of our challenges was to keep as much as possible the materials and distribution the space already had, this way we could reduce the impact on the budget.

Prototypes
In the prototype phase for 2Fifty BBQ, EL FIN arranged the restaurant's layout and chose where to put furniture. We then made 3D pictures to show our ideas clearly. This helped us work well with architects, sign makers, and furniture designers.

It also guided us when looking for furniture and materials that fit our design. This step was key to making sure everything in 2Fifty looked and worked great together.

Final Design

When we reached the final render for 2Fifty BBQ, we reviewed and refined our designs through several discussions with the client. This back-and-forth process allowed us to fine-tune every detail, ensuring the final design met both our vision and 2Fifty's needs. The completed render gave everyone involved—a clear, shared vision of the finished space.

This project, from initial concept to final realization, showcases our commitment to enhancing dining experiences through thoughtful design, ultimately setting a new benchmark for restaurant spaces in the city.
