An interactive comic cum activity book designed for the
Accessible India Campaign under the Government of India
to be distributed by NCERT.
Objective : To ingrain the significance of accessibility in children right from their formative years and to provide the desired push towards ensuring accessibility across the education sector.
Concept : The storyline is about a child called Priya who gets introduced to the concept of accessibility when she fractures her leg and has to go to school after vacations to see how the entire environment has been adapted to be more inclusive!
My job was to illustrate and design the book.
The book is an interactive E-Book with QR Code-based audio output and interactive games adequately provided with all accessibility features, such as – Text-to-Speech, colour contrast, font size, sign language interpretation etc. and a flip book with interactive games inlaid.
This project was conceptualised and executed as a Design Consultant for Ernst and Young. “Priya - The Accessibility Warrior”, the comic book was launched by Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Ministry of Education and Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India on 24th August, 2021.
